I too am curious about what RG has to say about these tidbits.

I simply can't wait to hear the "theory du jour."

The NE drug article was from August 28th. It's the one on the newstands now with "Babs" plastic surgery article.

Yes, I'm okay Maggie. But is my city (Kelowna) that has 1/3rd of its' residents either evacuated or burned out. 248 homes burned to the ground. Actually they almost vaporized. I am on the opposite side of the valley across the lake and the site was something I will never see again. We stood on our deck with a telescope and could see the whole thing. We could see individual houses leveled in minutes. The entire sky and hillside was RED. If you want to see some amazing pics go to my homepage: www.Castanet.net. Just find the pictures that were taken by lots of people from many different vantage points.

Jackie I don't think the Prelim will be delayed. Geragos asked for that before and Girolami said NO!! I'm interested in what, if anything, the Defense can show in the of "real proof" on September 2nd!

In court papers, Brazelton said, "Cameras in the court might expose the identities of undercover investigators." The investigator told The ENQUIRER, " You don't need undercover detectives in a homicide investigation. You use undercover investigators in a narcotics investigation."
I have to take these stories in chronological order to come to any conclusion. Wonder who the "family friend" is, that is beginning to talk about a drug connection? Would this person not be a witness in a capital murder case, especially about Laci's concerns about the lavish spending? Direct quotes from Brazelton? We've been looking to the NE for reporting for months--are we now supposed to think that their stories are bogus? Something ain't right here, as we say in the south. I'm really beginning to wonder why the Sept. 9th article comes to the forefront at the same time we're beginning to look at the Aug. 28th article. Also, the media is beginning to push the People's article. I'm feeling like we're being jerked around.

"Laci said she was shocked when she learned that Scott had bought a boat," said the family friend. Up until now the story was that Laci had no idea that SP had bought a boat. He was going to surprise her with it on Christmas, isn't that what he told Diane Sawyer?
The drug stuff makes about as much sense as anything else he's done, so it could be true.

could explain his luxury lifestyle and there was no evidence Scott was living beyond his means. Right! Living beyond his means and living off ill-gotten gains are two different things. There still is no evidence that his finances were strained. House remains unattached by non-mortgage creditors and only a first loan exists on the property. Property taxes have been paid as required.

He sure did alot of spending before the murder...not only did he spend alot of time with his new girlfriend, he purchased a $25,000 membership at a country club and purchased a boat without his wife's knowlege??
To: Tombolo
Yep, he paid cash for his boat. $1,400. according to most reports.

According to Dr. Gregory Schmunk, the chief medical examiner-coroner for California's Santa Clara County, the most straightforward explanation is that Laci's decomposing body caused Conner to be forced out. "As the decomposition occurs, the abdominal wall breaks down and eventually the baby is expelled right through the abdominal wall," says Schmunk. "That would explain why Conner is less decomposed than Laci, because Conner was in a protected uterine environment for quite some time prior to being expelled." From that point, he continues, "the baby could have easily been entangled in the tape that was surrounding Laci." Makes sense to me. The other guy, Nordby, seems to trying out for a spot on the Peterson defense.

Laci still had her uterus but there was an opening near the top part of it. Her cervix was "intact and closed." This means the unborn child did not emerge from the birth canal but from that opening near the top of the uterus," said Dr. Spitz. Great stuff, Vel. If this autopsy information is accurate, I hear Don Meredith in the background singing SP's soon to be theme song.

The Death Certificate only contains the cause of death which was deemed a homocide. The particulars were not able to be determined according to reports. My copy of the DC is still at the Health Dept. At the time, it was not part of the public record and it had to be obtained directly from the HD. I couldn't bring myself to drive out there (Martinez) and pick it up. Felt like it would be intruding, can't believe I even considered it.
To: RGSpincich
thanks, I wouldn't feel like you are intruding... just it is the public's curiosity at stake here... And Geragos to lose!!! ;o)
