Nah, this Peckman is just a typical clueless liberal who sincerely believes that showing the bad guys that you mean them no harm will make them throw down their weapons and start sniffing daisies or something. Most libs really think that the U.S. is the cause of most of the world's problems. Therefore is we unilaterally disarm and sing and play guitars in large groups while sticking are quaking rearends up in the air, the angry and oppressed masses of the world will be happy with our gesture and quit murdering large numbers of women and children. I know, it's insane, but if you quizzed most libs like Elder did, you'd get a similar response.
