Franken was interviewed on CNN yesterday by some women I can't identify (I rarely watch CNN). She asked him about the infamous shouting match with O'Reilly. Al responded that he was just casually pointing out to Bill what a "pathological liar" (actual statement by Franken about O'Reilly) he was. The interviewer then pointed out some of Franken's own lies including something about stolen material from Harvard and a few other things...something about Ashcroft I believe. You should have seen the stuttering and ers and ahs coming from Franken then. Why it was all just a joke he exclaimed. "But they were lies" repeated the interviewer "weren't they?" Remember this was CNN grilling the Great Unfunny One.I read about this, and the one word that kept popping into my head was "fraud." Nevermind Ashcroft, Harvard ought to nail his ass over this.
Franken's publishing "career" is pretty much based on not-so-borderline fraud and slander.
Now that I think about it, so is Micheal Moore's! God forbid that they should collaborate. The would have to invent a new word for that level of slanderous fiction! Of course, there is always the hope that Moore would actually eat Franken like the "Blob" that he is.

Wouldn't that be lovely. Or maybe Condi's boyfriend, doesn't she date a football player? Condi versus Al on the air, he loses it and whops her and the boyfriend appears and whups him. I love it.

I can't remember the exact words, it goes something like this; Karen says something about the terrorists in Iraq and Brit says, are you saying now that there is a link between Al Queda and Iraq? You mean you are now saying that there really are terrorists in Iraq? Karen got huffy and they got the camera off of her and Kristol says something. No more was made of it.

Two points.....first, remember that Franken was supposed to be the star of the proposed liberal network....can you imagine.....second...the so-called best-seller lists are a crock..Tom Clancy's new novel has been otu for three weeks....it's still not cracked the NY Times list....think that's real?

I think all conservatives should devote themselves to getting Al to lose it totally on the air and attack someone. That someone would proceed to beat the crap out of him and refuse to hire a lawyer and sue like a nancy boy.I second that. But it would be more fun to pi$$ Frankenstein off sooo much that he attacks and fumbles some kind of twisted, neurotic rage; flailing towards the conservative, spitting and drooling through his teeth.
I could do it. Wouldn't be too hard. Just use a "Silence of the Lambs-type" line like this:
"A lot of us conservatives are convinced that you wouldn't be the way you are if the girl you liked on the set of SNL --you know, Al, back when it used to be a good show-- when she was busted by the janitor having sex with Buck Henry in your dressing room. She reminded you so much of the girl you knew in the fifth grade. You know, the one with the glasses? Too bad she liked the jock-types and laughed in your face when you presented her with a valentine in class. Now, you're just a bitter, washed-out act of classless fury; enraged at the world because it has always scorned you and still hates you."
"You don't want a guy like Lecter inside your head."

Bill O'Reilly is an imbicile. Why couldn't he just ignore Franken's book? Rush TOTALLY ignored Franken's book that had his own name in the title, for pete's sake. And the book sold horribly. Now thanks to this egomaniac Franken is on the bestseller lists.

Now I'm really confused. I thought the left has decided we have not won the war in Iraq OR Afghanistan and that we are losing on both fronts. What's wrong with you? It's so simple. If a Democrat is in office we are winning; if a Republican than we are losing. Can't you get this simple logic?

FWIW, there was a thread here a few days ago, which stated that because Fox had copywrited "Fair & Balanced"..they were obligated to make the case..otherwise, it's the legal equilvalent of abandoning one's rights, and thus, next year..CNN could advertise itself as "Fair & Balanced", adn Fox would have no defence...

I saw him on Paula Zahn last night. He was very disturbing on there also. I really think he's going off the deep end ... he appears to be losing touch with reality.

I think all conservatives should devote themselves to getting Al to lose it totally on the air and attack someone. Won't work. Like most ideologues of his stripe, Franken will never risk being hurt for his beliefs.
Sure, he'll hector, harp, bark, maybe even push & shove. But he won't fight.
Because deep down inside, like most liberals he knows that a faux ideology born of deep unresolved inner conflicts and personal pathologies is not worth experiencing physical pain.

Rush TOTALLY ignored Franken's book that had his own name in the title, for pete's sake. And the book sold horribly. Now thanks to this egomaniac Franken is on the bestseller lists. Franken's "Rush Limbaugh" book was on the bestseller lists as well. It actually sold quite a few copies. But I agree that Rush did the right thing by ignoring it.

But Medved tolerated way too much from joe. But, I thought Conason was a worthy foe. He was interesting--wrong, but interesting.
Medved usually allows guests plenty of time to get their point of view out, then he refutes it. Best show on radio.

"On second thought, Franken would probably punch Ann in the face, so maybe it wouldn't be such a great idea."
I've got to disagree. I'm sure Ann Coulter can take this liberal wimp without breaking a sweat.

Well, shoot - I can't say as I really blame Al too much. After all, given that Al's head is stuffed with dried leaves and dead insects, it's got to be tough to cling to a semblance of reality.
