I bet you also wish there were a cap on the incomes of the masses and that most lived just about at subsistence. You'll say you don't but I know you do.

Hey, pal... if you go back and research the first few hundred posts in this thread, you will see that salary caps have already been suggested here... by YOUR friends.

And this demonstrates just how varied are the overall views of those who are increasingly uncomfortable with our current strategy for international commerce. Here I am, a full on Clausewitzian of the old school, capitalist in the most traditional manner. Personally, I might not be in favor of tarriffs per se, and might rather prefer to proscribe trade in toto with certain nations making war preparations against us. Others here want to micromanage executive salaries; I disagree with this. At the end of the day, those of us who have been debating you and a handful of others agree that the status quo is in need of intense scrutiny. Why is there so much fear about this scrutiny? Are you afraid of being told by the Federal government that you can no longer operate without restriction in certain countries, or that the companies you foster securities trading of will be thereby restrictred? This is not Communism or even Fascism I speak of here! This is national self interest trumping international corporatism. Yes we have the right to do business and make profits. But no where have we been given the right to place these activities ahead of national interest!
