Let's see.
Software company A has a choice between hiring an American with lots of experience in engineering, but he cost $100k.
Or software company A can hire an Indian with not much experience and pay him $30K.
Software company A gets American engineers to train the Indian enginner, and then fires the American engineer.
Now the Indian engineer is trained and then decides to return to India. He takes his expertise and starts his own company. Software company B. Software company B makes software even cheaper than software company A.
Now software company A cannot sell it's software, and it closes. Everyone in software company A loses their jobs. Now the USA has lost a software company to India.
This keeps on happening until there is no more software development in the USA. Kids in US colleges don't get degrees in software because there are not many jobs.
The defense industry suffers because there aren't qualified software engineers to design or develop new defense systems.
The entire US software industry suffers, and there are not as many innovations in the US like things like web-browsers.
In the end, the US economy never recovers, the Indian economy prospers. Their defense industry surpasses us, and they become the worlds super power.

So this isn't about you and your job? It's about you wanting to save our country now? That's nice of you.
