I would point out that those who are arguing for our current trade envirornment are arguing for teh Uraguay Round priciples which include the stated objective of transfering wealth and industrial production from rich nations to poor nations by the lowering of traiffs more in teh rich nations than in the poor nations. This is the stated goal of the current trade structure. It does seem to be working and the defenders of it refuse to recognize it as being a socialist venture from the start.

Now, I realize it is far easier to call names than it is to engage in discussion with facts and numbers but I would recommend teh later bgecuase emotional arguments will only result in Democrats winning elections.

The economy is not just based on logic, it has a very large emotional componene. If people FEEL threatened they will act threatened. The majority of people I have talked to do feel that their livelyhoods are in peril. They are looking for someon to do something about it. And so far Bush has done very little.
