One's own personal freedom is possibly one THE greatest gifts. To lose it might be to understand that it is too easily given. I have read again and again, that people who never realised what some sort of incarceration was, admit the little things are taken for granted. Only to lose those choices is to realise their value.
Too deliberately commit that kind of disobedience, when one can privately indulge, seems an act of folly. The police have extra powers, why cross them on such an issue?
Sorry if this is a little preachy, feel that to lose that wonderful thing- freedom, may not be understood until too late.
The man is a damn fool.

If the police can take a legal product away from someone, what is to prevent them from taking someone's guns if the police chief feels like it? (not that they don't basically have this power here in America)
It's the principle of the matter: if pot is legal, the police have to keep their hands off.

Just once I'd like to see a jerk like this pull off his little stunt, and have the officers
completely ignore him as if he wasn't even there. After all, the guy's seeking attention more than he's interested in seriously challenging any pot laws. So if they ignore him, he'll just go away.
Even better, since they know he's coming, the local cops should just make up some prank. For example, when he shows up and starts toking up, the cops should grab the pot, "examine" it, publicly declare it to be nothing more than ground-up weeds, and hand it right back to him, laughing hysterically that "You got screwed by your dealer, man!" Just embarrass the hell out of this moron and let him slink home with his tail between his legs.

Believe it or not I live in Kingston, Ontario. I can't believe this is happening in our little town/city.
It is all over the radio stations such as KRock 105.7 etc. and will be on TV as well.
If I hear of anything once I get home from work, I will update the board.

Emery will give a speech starting at 4 p.m. and spark up at exactly 4:20 p.m., a time pot smokers recognize as a daily ritual to get high. I never knew that 4:20 p.m. was so sacred. Is it because that's when the bus drops you off from high school, or something?
