Oh, neglected to mention that I strongly suspect the 1st Cav's OH-58D platoon was Clarks way to get his nose under the tent in the Task Force Ranger mission in Somalia.

They always told us it was because we were the only ones ready to deploy at a moments notice, yet there were rapidly deployable 58D platoons already at Bragg and Campbell.

Hmmm.
