What (men) do women want?

Do conservative women look for different qualities of masculinity in men than liberal women do? Is sex appeal not so much in the eye, but in a point of view? Do young Republicans and young Democrats have different ideas about "hooking up" (which is what young people call pairing off).
Like everything else in the soft science of psychology, it depends on the interpretation you read. Data can be dada. My favorite survey of the season was made by the Independent Women's Forum, a conservative woman's organization that contends with radical feminism with long red nails, good looks, educated smarts and a sense of humor. At the end of every summer, IWF interviews Capitol Hill interns who work in congressional offices during their summer vacations.

Do women ever consider the 'do something simply because you love him' option for their men? Or are they just selfishly whining over what the men haven't done for them? I think because women see themselves doing things all the time for men. The kicker is, these are things that men haven't asked for, or even notice, or take for granted. Keeping their favorite beer in the fridge, keeping his underwear updated etc.
Like I said, I see two discussions going parallel right now, but saying pretty much the same thing. Both sides need to talk it out.

You are right. It was a bit over the top. Let me revise it, many men and women are insane and need help.

I agree 100%. Some of my convervative girl pals, while maybe not the "hot" types, are very attractive in their confidence, intelligence on issues, and assuredness. This often can more than overcompensate for fake boobs andvhigh heels with no brains .

Thank you for your response. I happen to agree with you. Seems both sides can be selfish, only noting what they want or didn't get, instead of concentrating on the proper thing.
WHAT WOULD THAT BE MR. SMARTYPANTS? (one might say in response).
Well, just like with God, a relationship or marriage should be handled the same way. And you mentioned part of it.
Concentrate on what you give, not what you get. Give Thanks for what you receive. Give love, always, without prejudice.
It is all in the bible. Problem is understanding it. Each person's interpretation is, (and should be) different and unique, because it was written to provoke ,mostly, self-understanding.
But the BASICS are there, in black and white, and easily understood by all. Practiced by all? Obviously not.

From the Lucid Moment Archives :
Was walking allong in a park on a Sunny day..passing an elderly couple seated on a park bench.
The elderly man looked at me..making eye contact...and some Jedi hand motion thingy ..blurted out,
"Neehh verrd ...ardgue..vith..the Vooo..man"!
So ya...this old **Veterans -comment has defintely affixed itself in my neuro pathways : )
The Bible says.."Wisdom will pass before you"..or something like that. : )

Jay Nordlinger, managing editor of National Review, recalls the formulation of the Democrats as the "mommy party" and the Republicans as the "daddy party"...I totally agree with this. I have thought this for a while now.

"It should not really matter in this day and age "
It shouldn't matter, but it still does. In fact, it raises the bar quite a bit, as wealthy women still want men that are wealthier than themselves. The nicest, sweetest, most christian women I've known still have that draw toward well off men. Just as men can't help but be attracted to certain physical traits, women can't help it that money and power attract them.

My wife currently has roughly 3 closets full of clothes and shoes....and she has usurped half my closet.
She keeps telling me she is going to do ebay or goodwill and has taken a few to consignment shops.
We will buy something nice that she looks great in and after it's been worn once or twice, it disappears into the netherworld gone forever.
The there are the things like Abercrombie short shorts or paper denim and cloth jeans that she will wear 5 days a week.
Not that I'm complaining...she looks great in them but women are wierd about clothes and they all have a shoe fetish (so do I sort of... Manolo stilleto pumps with the little ankle ties...."yes dear whatever you say")
I just bought her a Muhle Glashutte sport watch so at least I know I'll see that used a lot.

You still have half a closet? I'm down to a third - I kid you not.
Why is it that I can go through life with one pair of dress shoes, one pair of casual shoes that can be worn with a coat and tie, a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of sandals, meanwhile, women require a couple of pairs each day?
