As for the grammar, youre right on that one OO does not have it, I did not notice because I turn it off in word, thats hardly a make or break feature...
No but, as you requested, it's a feature that isn't implemented in OpenOffice.

Menu configuration very limited, Can't insert files without an import filter, No outlining, No reveal codes, No draw table functionality, No autoformat of tables, No grammar checking, etc, etc...
