McClintock Facing Republican Threats?

Now that Bill Simon has left the building, State Senator Tom McClintock currenlty has the 'only growing campaign'. I'm reading the LA Times article on Simon's departure this morning and I find this nugget of political muscle.

The more I think about it, the more I am FOR Tom McClintock!!!! Right from the get-go I was willing to give Arnold the benefit of the doubt but then BAM he hires a bunch of democrats and liberal thinkers. That did it - especially the Buffet fiasco. Go, Tom, go!!!!!!

You said McClintock is a spoiler. That is a lie.

The truth of the matter is that he filed his paperwork before Arnold Schwarzenegger had finished lying to everyone (including Jay Leno) before filming his Tonight Show special event.

Though Darryl Issa has already long since left the race, my omission of his paperwork filing in reference to McClintock was a mistake, and I acknowledge the omission.

Nice try comparing the above omission to your SLANDER of Tom McClintock, a conservative who has much more in common with FReepers than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

McClintock may be losing support here on Free Republic. I freely admit that too.

I would suggest that since the California GOP decided to continue its leftward tilt to include pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, and pro-illegal immigration positions, it's no wonder that many on FR have decided to follow this trend towards Democrat positions. How unfortunate for our state and this forum.
