How many of
these people were married? Your implication is specious at best.

It should be mandatory that Preists should be married.
Then they can divorce their wives, leave their kids, profess their homosexuality, and lead the Episcopalian Church.

1. If you aren't Catholic, why should anything Catholic be any of your business?
2. If you are Catholic, what part of the Pope makes these decisions don't you understand?
3. If you are married and you had to care for a dying relative for a couple of months a thousand miles away, do you think your husband would be likely to take advantage sexually of the eight-year old newspaper boy or is he a man's man? People who are pederasts and pedophiles are pederasts and pedophiles. Making them marry as a cover would also not be very fair to their wives, would it? The answer is keeping the lavenders out of he priesthood period. Pick up a copy of Goodbye Good Men by Michael Rose for a clear understanding of the problem whether you are Catholic or not. It will open your eyes and show you how this mess occurred.

I have read many of your comments and you seem to be a very kind and sweet person. However,on this one, your comment about all priests being married, you are far from truth.

"It should be mandatory that [Priests] should be married. I join with those who hold that a vow before and to God can only be relinquished by death.
I believe the Church is obliged to defrock any one who, having received the Sacrament of Holy Orders, chooses to violate both his sacred oath to God, as well as the sacred trust bestowed upon him by the faithful, by uncontrollably acting to fulfill a sin of lust.
