Excellent question. A few people have told me they saw him on a talk show saying something about enforcing all the current immigration laws now on the books, but they were unable to dig up anything in print. I read McClintock's proposed policy paper, and nowhere did he even mention immigration. I think this is a mistake. Judging by the overwhelming passage of Prop 187 a few years back (across party lines, obviously), it seems that taking a strong anti-illegal immigration stance is a winning game plan. Alas, not one of the candidates has done so.
