Their are so many weapons in Iraq, our troops removed 1000 truckloads from Baghdad alone by mid-May. Most of the Iraqi people keep licensed weapons. The big stuff - RPGs, grenades, missiles - are still around, available to the teeny % (5000 or so) remaining Ba'athists and the 80-100,000 hardened criminals released from jail by Saddam before the war.

On the postive side....the Iraqis are nailing their bad neighbors, and pointing out the weapons caches, and their are fewer bad guys every day thanks to our far more qualified marksmen. (^:
