Ads for Chambliss (the nasty ones), Talent, Sununu, and Jeb, along with a handful of House races, all winners.
Two campaigns rejected several nasty, hard-hitting ads we offered (as Lazio did in '00): Bill Simon and Doug Forrester (NJ). Both lost. I have met both men and was amazed with how dumb they were (although I wouldn't throw Simon's wife out of bed).
I did not mean to insult you with my comment. I asked if you knew how "naive" that comment sounded. It is important for all of us to seperate out our idealism from our realism. The campaign managers for Forrester and Simon believed they would win until the last minute, even though neither had a snowflake's chance. There are 6 weeks to go in the California campaign. It is beyond naive to believe that Tom McClintock can win or even gain minimal name recognition in that timeframe--even if we were the only candidate, which he is not. Arnold will not be dropping out. He does not quit once he decides something. It is beyond naive to believe that Tom McClintock can win against both Arnold and Cruz.
If the vote for recall is above 50%, a Vote for McClintock is a Vote for Bustamante. In fact, just having McClintock in the race is several hundred thousand votes for Bustamante. Surely you MUST realize this.
The commies took over the demRat party and they are well on their way to doing the same here in the CA GOP.
sometimes losing .. IS .. winning .
