I'm ready for the fire and brimstone crowd to now call B1 Bob a RINO.

Conservatives are being pragmatic. Our first goal is to dump Gray Davis and our second goal is to beat Large Breasts. Our third goal is to elect a Republican Governor.

This story only says that the same group has backed Schwarzenegger and Dornan. It doesn't say that Dornan backs Schwarzenegger.

Selling out the CA GOP *ping*

Shameful. Dornan is dead wrong.

Well this is proof to all the actual conservatives on this board that the Republican Party stands for nothing except "winning". The difference between Arnold and Hillary Clinton is the R beside Arnold's name but the GOP is behind him 100%! Not only that, they want to force out the only real Republicans that are running!

I know now that Hillary, Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, Tom Dashole or Teddy Kennedy would all be welcomed with open arms and wallets by the Republican party with no changes except the D beside their names!

Bob was my congressman for many years, Dana is now. They are both wrong on who they support. The GOP leadership did not support Ronald Reagan either when he ran for Governor of CA. This recall was not and has not been supported by the "leadership". They didn't want it, didn't support it and still don't! This is and has been a grass roots campaign to eject a crook. FYI the last RINO CA elected promised to "not raise taxes" and then proceeded to raise taxes as soon as he opened the door to his office. The stammering, stuttering Pete Wilson who happens to be your boy Aunold's consultant and co-chair signed the largest tax bill in CA history and did so right in the middle of a RECESSION which prolonged the recovery by years! Now if you like Aunold, you vote for him! But don't come crying to me in three years when the budget is not balanced and we are facing more debt, fewer jobs, more business exodus, more taxes and more fees. You just vote for the liberal RINO Aunold and let the Rats beat YOU over the head in 2006 with "three years later and the state is in worse shape than before!" VOTE4MCCLINTOCK...or pay$ the con$equence$! http://www.tommcclintock.com

The real question here, which is ignored and is not part of the article, nor does it really come up in any other discussion but it should, is:

OK, "Conservative GOP group endorses Schwarzenegger. Now, what specifically and precisely did they or conservatives-at-large receive in return in public policy promises, directly from the candidate?"

Waiting for the dead silence.

PS I think it is one thing to observe that someone is more electable, and another to offer an endorsement. I cannot imagine Robert Dornan endorsing any Republican in a race if that GOP candidate was NOT anti-abortion, and there was a pro-life GOP candidate also in the field and on the ballot.

Conclusion here: Conservatives should NOT give unconditioned love or support. Trust but verify. You would think they would have learned those sneaky RINO tricks and double-crossings years ago, but I guess just like dogs, some of them return to their vomit.

"I'm ready for the fire and brimstone crowd to now call B1 Bob a RINO."

You guys are eventually going to have to stop calling everyone else a RINO and look in the mirror at yourselves and your candidate. You're simply wrong on this. Dornan is the Ronald Reagan of Orange County, Arnold is going to win and you need to drop McClintock - your circus side show candidate and join us in the winners circle.

Let me put forth another theory that I am disappointed that I haven't seen from more conservatives on Free Republic, everyone pay attention;

We are getting more stories about "Republicans" and "The GOP" urging McClintock that he must drop out here in August, than about the budget deficit. What is VERY -how shall I say- different about these "news" stories is that they do not name who the "Republicans" or "The GOP" is making these phone calls. Another very journaliticly uncommon aspect is the failure to pick the same telephone device and call these 2 for confirmation or denial.

People, do I have to spell this out? Why isn't anyone else seeing this? First I had to fight so many on FR about whether the recall would qualify, now this movie star sitting duck, *sigh* I'm not bitter; These stories are coming straight from the desk of Bob Mulholund, Gary South, and Art Torres. The last thing in the government subsidized world they want to do is use their shocking stories against (R)nold Buffet and have the numbers of McClintock rise and become a favorite. That is the worst possible situation, you know it, they know, I know it. Their quest, to put for all of the "rallying" BS in August, force Tom to be hated and ostresized within the Party until he drop out on his own. After all, "Republicans" are telling him to for "the party". Then aproximately Sept 23rd and after (the two week period, their Standard Operating Procedure) they can release things about (R)nold that will no one here want to vote, much less for him, and Davis survives or "N-Word" wins. Tom McClintock, for all you (R)nold lovers/McClintock haters, is the best shield Conan ever had.

Its so painfully obvious. God Bless the internet that I have a forum to share.
