There were times initially (before I understood how thoroughly the Saudis had implanted their Wahhabi brutishness here in mosques) that I thought Pipes was a little 'overboard', but no more! He's a bulldog going after the killers and their supporters. And he is also determined to support Muslims who reject the evil side of their religion.
