>>>Then again, you equate the ability to quote the Gospel with honesty, and moral uprighteness.
Remember Bill Clinton walking out of Church carrying a huge Bible? <<<
Luis, why do you equate being religious with being a fake religious person? The problem with those of you who are against the public display of any religious expression is that you apparently want all religion in the closet; you equate any public religious expression as phone, false, done for show or gain. So many on this and other threads keep calling Judge Moore all kinds of names, claiming he's performing drama for show, for political gain, etc. Can't you see the difference between a phony liar like Clinton and his big Bible and a sincere religious person like Moore?
Do you really think that the only sincere religious people are those who never express themselves in public?
"The faith you mention has doubtless its use in the world; I do not desire to see it diminished, nor would I endeavour to lessen it in any man. But I wish it were more productive of good works than I have generally seen it: I mean real good works, works of kindness, charity, mercy, and publick spirit; not holiday-keeping, sermon-reading or hearing, performing church ceremonies, or making long prayers, filled with flatteries or compliments, despised even by wise men, and much less capable of pleasing the deity. The worship of God is a duty, the hearing and reading of sermons may be useful; but if men rest in hearing and praying, as too many do, it is as if a tree should value itself on being watered and putting forth leaves, though it never produced any fruit." --- Benjamin Franklin
I've never said that, I have directed all my comments at sectarian displays in Government buildings.
Please don't put words in my mouth, and then attack me for something I've never said.
