While I disagree with the federal judge's ruling (I think it violates the Tenth Amendment), I have no problem with an independent judiciary. However, I'm starting to wonder if federal judges should be elected instead of appointed. But you're changing the subject: you asked me about amending the Constitution. If a majority of the people want to amend their constitution, so be it. At least we can do that in this country. That was my point.
