Well, I understand what you're saying, but everyone has a breaking point. Is there not some ruling which you would be willing to defy?

I'm sure we could imagine some ruling which I would have no choice but to defy. But there is no way I could it as a judge. I would have to step down before I could defy a court order.

Judge Moore is willing to undercut his own position and authority as a judge who can issue court orders. Why shouldn't anyone be free to defy his rulings if they feel strongly enough? It proves to me that he lacks the honor to even be a judge.

This fight didn't have to be fought by a judge. You could raise the same issues and get it to the Supreme Court without damaging the judiciary.

Judge Moore doesn't care about that, and people ought to wonder why. If they think hard enough, I'm sure they'll come up with the right answer.

You and anyone else have the freedom and the right to defy any court ruling you see fit - none of us should be surprised at the consequences when we do. That does not make our defiance wrong nor does it make the consequences right - but at some point people have to make a stand even if it defies the rule of law... thankfully our forefathers felt that way and I'm glad Judge Moore does as well.
