So now, your contention is that ONLY Christians understand American History?

Your tree just bore fruit, and now I know you.

No. You're spinning. I'm saying the opinions posted there are against Christianity because the site is against Christ. I couldn't possably accept all that anti-Christian spin as Gods truth.
To me, it's left wing propaganda. Just because a site tells a few interesting stories, it doesn't mean the stories are without err.

As the end of the twentieth century races toward us, it’s hard to escape the feeling that history is about to turn a very significant corner. One of the compelling questions that many people ask is, “Is this the end of the age?” Several Christian writers and radio preachers have recently announced the date of Christ’s return, and many more will offer their opinions as the millennium proceeds. But one of the most overlooked mysteries of the end of the age is the reuniting of Christianity with a one-world government.

The Bible says the politically correct churches and other pagans , those who allow homosexuals, abortionists, etc., and "tolerate all sin", will follow and endorse the anti-Christ. They will be his followers. As a matter of fact, Israel will accept the anti-Christ as well.
"I sent you a king, and you rejected him. Along came another, and it is he you accept."

How about if we take Thmas Jefferson's advice, and not elect people based on theor mouthing of Biblical concepts and eliminate the possibility of elevating a false Christian to power?

Again, it sounds as though you are saying that if anyone quotes any scripture or makes any reference to God he is a fake. So in your view (apparently) the only trustworthy people are those who NEVER make any public expression of religion. Well, how about these people? Are they all deceitful charlatans?

"It would be peculiarly improper to omit, in this official act my fervent supplication to that Almighty Being, who rules over the universe, who presides in the council of nations, and whose providential aid can supply every human defect, that His benediction may consecrate to the liberties and happiness of the people of the United States...Every step by which they have advanced seems to have been distinguished by some providential agency. We ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained." George Washington, President of the United States.

And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle. It is substantially true, that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government. The rule, indeed, extends with more or less force to every species of free government. Who, that is a sincere friend to it, can look with indifference upon attempts to shake the foundation of the fabric? (Source: George Washington, Address of George Washington In his Farewell Address to the United States in 1796.

Does history warrant the conclusion that religion is necessary to morality -- that a natural ethic is too weak to withstand the savagery that lurks under civilization and emerges in our dreams, crimes, and wars? ... There is no significant example in history, before our time, of a society successfully maintaining moral life without the aid of religion. Will and Ariel Durant

"The highest glory of the American Revolution was this; it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity. John Quincy Adams

"From the day of the Declaration...they (the American people) were bound by the laws of God, which they all, and by the laws of The Gospel, which they nearly all, acknowledge as the rules of their conduct." John Quincy Adams

"Man, considered as a creature, must necessarily be subject to the laws of his Creator, for he is entirely a dependent being....And, consequently, as man depends absolutely upon his Maker for everything, it is necessary that he should in all points conform to his Maker's will...this will of his Maker is called the law of nature. These laws laid down by God are the eternal immutable laws of good and evil...This law of nature dictated by God himself, is of course superior in obligation to any other. It is binding over all the globe, in all countries, and at all times: no human laws are of any validity if contrary to this... Sir William Blackstone

We believe in the same God, Jews and Christians.

You never read that site, did you?

Your tree bore fruit, and now I know you by them.

"How can they be "offended" if they don't even know where the darn thing is?"

That is the joke to me too.

It makes it SO CLEAR this is an agenda of wholesale "Cultural Cleansing" by the ACLU and not cases where there are "victims".

Yes I did. I decided to shun it when it opposed the Bible.

tsk, tsk, you jump to the term "lying" based on a misunderstanding.

So your saying I misunderstood your posts from back then? but there were so many ... lets clear it up quickly:
"Do you think consensual homosexual sex between adults is a legitimate Constitutional right, yes or no?"
"Was Lawrence v Texas rightly or wrongly decided?"

I apologize if i mischaracterized your views.

It's a "rule" with me, and it's just good manners, in general.

I figured you'd see my post anyway, so I didn't think much about it until I read the other posts concerning not pinging people.

YYou're not gonna get banned for gossipping about a FReeper behind his/her back.

I wasn't worried about being banned, and I wasn't attempting to gossip about you behind your back.

But, if it's me you're gossipping about, and I see it, I'm gonna ride your ass unmercifully.

I wasn't gossiping, I was stating fact. And your comment is far from polite.

I guess we have nother vote for the dictatorship of the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court is not a dictatorship. If you think it is, then perhaps you are living in the wrong country and should move immediately.

It quotes the Bible to make its points!

So did Satan when he tempted Jesus was in the wildreness.

I know you by your fruit.

Then your senses are dull . Get a tune up.

Your "truthful" website says Christians will be the church of anti-Christ. How can the pro-Christ church support the anti-Christ? How can it be against itself?

" I have directed all my comments at sectarian displays in Government buildings."

Then it is being misdirected here.

What is "sectarian" about a George Washington quote?
What is "sectarian" about the Ten Commandments, the root of *all* Judeo-Christian sects that are the root of what 95+% of what (nonatheist) Americans believe?

Please don't put words in my mouth, and then attack me for something I've never said.

Okay, I'll amend my statement to:

"The problem with those of you who TALK AS THOUGH YOU are against the public display of any religious expression."
