Sinkspur - I responded to the two Freepers in the referenced post who had made a comment or two about you, and I responded as you can see. I had not read the posts wherein it was discussed how rude it is to comment about a Freeper without pinging them. I did not know this "rule", and did it without trying to be rude. To quell this avalanche of moral breakdown, the "Reclaim America" element of the Christian right is subtly advocating establishing, not a particular denomination, but the Christian religion.

So your argument is that people who have already revealed themselves as liars and users of the Gospel to gain wordly goods are known to be bad, but those apparently using it now, because they have yet to be exposed, can't possibly be doing the very same thing?

How about if we take Thmas Jefferson's advice, and not elect people based on theor mouthing of Biblical concepts and eliminate the possibility of elevating a false Christian to power?

B) I dont think there is nothing at all wrong with being gay, Luis would certainly agree with that. It's a constitutional right to him. OTOH I dont use the F-- word. Watch youself.
C) I was too hasty to reach to ad hominem, as I crossed swords with him over the USSC ruling on Lawrence v Texas where he defended yet another excercise in Judicial over-reach and showed himself to be immune to common sense and reason.
D) Since it apparently offends, it is withdrawn. Luis is now mere "buddy of ACLU".
E) I'm not a good Christian. You insult good Christians by trying to compare me to them. Stop it.

Brian... it's time the vocal minority stopped telling the majority what to do by abusing the court system and twisting the intent of the separation of church and state. This country was FOUNDED on there being a GOD and with everyone being able to believe in WHATEVER type of GOD they wanted.... separation of Church and State was so the government could not tell people WHAT GOD to worship.... not to say there wasn't a GOD.

Luis, why do you equate being religious with being a fake religious person? The problem with those of you who are against the public display of any religious expression is that you apparently want all religion in the closet; you equate any public religious expression as phone, false, done for show or gain. So many on this and other threads keep calling Judge Moore all kinds of names, claiming he's performing drama for show, for political gain, etc. Can't you see the difference between a phony liar like Clinton and his big Bible and a sincere religious person like Moore?

Do you really think that the only sincere religious people are those who never express themselves in public?

As I have feared for many years liberalism is a widespread epidemic in the USA,with no cure in sight.

'Fraid you're right and some here have bought into some of that too. Personally as I get older, there is a side of me that sometimes think that it will get to the point where the U.S. will break up into two or more countries where the ideologies will go their separate ways. In short, I think we need a divorce from the liberals and their ACLU buddies. If they want to go their own way, fine but let us go our way in peace too. You might see a future American with a liberal country from Boston to DC, maybe a Conservative south and west (maybe two separate nations, the free city of San Franscisco, various American Indian nations, and in Utah, the "Deseret Republic." Maybe I read too much post-apocalyptic science fiction, alternate history, and post nuclear war role playing games, but as I read more about it, sometimes this idea appeals to me more. I know some of this sounds a bit geeky, I'm a geek at heart, but even Walter Williams, noted libertarian wrote about this during the 2000 election if I recall correctly. All I can say is I'm tired of having our values and culture we hold dear to our heart being assaulted and and attacked, I'm willing to have such a divorce if they go their way and we go ours.

Maybe I should clarify myself. I'm not laughing at the Christians who are peacefully protesting. I just think it's not going to stop the forces of darkness from removing the symbols of our faith from the public domain. However, I do laugh in derision at the people who think they will succeed in removing God from our lives (or remain prosperous and secure after removing Him from their lives).
