Things that make you go hmmmmm.

Most freepers (if not all) would agree that ZERO additional gun laws are necessary to prosecute the illegal use of a firearm.

But we need additional laws (the Patriot Act) to prosecute the destruction of personal property.

If we need the Patriot Act to locate and prosecute a group that has all the subtlety of a train wreck, we are in trouble.

I believe the benefit of the patriot act in this case is the increased use of monitoring activity (heretofore illegal) in tracking down those responsible.

So.... the Patriot Act may be helpful in locating/capturing the individuals, The trick is going to be to apply some kind of RICO infraction, so the entire organization begins to unravel.
