"Mean-spirited"? You mean like when you address a complete stranger as "bozo"? That kind of mean-spirited? ;)

It's really a shame that you and I can't peer into Roy's soul, and find out whether Roy would really choose having the Ten Commandments in the courthouse over being governor, if push came to shove and he could only have one of them.

I know someone who can, though, and I'm fairly confident that Roy Moore will find the justice he seeks someday. He may not like it, but I think he'll find it.

I had thought that Moore had wanted to be governor, but given that he's not talking to the local press (whose favors he needs to curry if he wants to be governor) and only talking to the national media, I wonder if Moore would be content in running just a state (most of it's rather boring anyway--budgets, ribbon cuttings, etc.). I doubt if he'd be content as a backbencher in either the Senate or the House, either. He's going for national--not statewide--recognition, either in a private or public arena.

You just can't help outing yourself, gen'l. The only reason I am and will be acceptable to God is because of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ. But you, very apparently, believe you can only be acceptable to God because of what you do and what you don't do.

That describes salvation by works, which is strongly condemned in the Bible. You should be spending more time looking in your own eye then gouging out Chief Justice Moore's eye.
