Christians, Schanker said, need to consider those disparate beliefs and ask themselves if the symbolism of the cross is worth maintaining the divisions it allegedly creates.
....thus begins the plan to destroy the christians and Jews
"Jews, Christians and Muslims must come together to heal divisions of the past, to stand together in a moment of repentance and reconciliation, and thus, tear down the walls that separate us as people of faith,"
....we like the walls Schanker, they keep us isolated from domination, corruption and destruction!

They can have my Cross when they pry it from my cold dead hand.

An interfaith group founded by Unification Church leader Sun Myung Moon is spearheading an effort to have Christian ministers remove crosses from their churches, calling them a symbol of oppression and perceived superiority. Mainstream Christian leaders call the request "outrageously bigoted."..."Jews, Christians and Muslims must come together to heal divisions of the past, to stand together in a moment of repentance and reconciliation, and thus, tear down the walls that separate us as people of faith," said Archbishop George Augustus Stallings, Jr.I'm not a Christian, but I would be pushing to be first in line to plant my foot firmly up Stalling's a**. What an unbelievable idiotic thing to demand.

FWIW, I've always found it a little odd that a religion would sellect for its' symbol an instrument of torture and death.
Dying on a cross was hardly a unique event under Roman rule. Thousands, maybe ten's of thousands did.
Only one came back from the grave to spread His good news.
Me? I would have picked an open vacated tomb/cave for a symbol...

Wasn't Stallings the black Catholic priest in Washington who was de-frocked by church? If so, he promoted himself to archbishop.

Probably should stop calling ourselves Christian also. Too Christ-centered.

You just knew they would not stop with Judge Moore. There's a vast difference between Judge Moore using his office to promote a particular religious view, and these clowns.
Christians have a right to their symbols and the display of those symbols. Judge Moore has no right to abuse his office.

This is unreal!!! I just asked my husband last night, when will they start telling the churches to remove their names from the outsides of their buildings because the idea of church offends them. Let's have them throw out their Korans.
