Since Mohammed founded Islam precisely to be opposed to what Judaism and especially Christianity teach, why in the world should we WANT to be "reconciled" to the Muslims? Why should Truth be "reconciled" to falsehood? As an example, should the millions of Christians massacred by the Muslims (e.g. 1915-1923 in Turkey, 632+ AD in north Africa and the Middle East) be regarded now as just an obstacle to some sort of unity?

Its only a symposium, which usually include academics full of themselves telling others what they need to change.

"a symbol of forced conversions." Apparently, not enough.

The nut case - Sun Myung Moon - is still alive?
I guess he needs some publicity, his recruitment (and bank account) must be slipping.

Cross is symbol of 'religious intolerance, forced conversions...racism'

Allow me to correct that

Crescent Moon is symbol of 'religious intolerance, forced conversions...racism'

The cross is a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice Jesus ordealed for our sins. It is a symbol of love and forgiveness.

This guy is a nutcase with a fetish for controversy.

There are no words to describe the depth of this depravity; I agree that this is hate speech in its most virulent form. The Cross is THE symbol of Christian faith, that we are saved, not by our actions, but by the gift of grace from Christ's sacrifice for us. This effort and stance to remove the Cross as a visible means of reminding us of Christ's triumph on our behalf from the humility of the Cross is quite simply appalling.

The Cross is not a barrier, Its a door to salvation and many just dont open it when they hear the knock.

Why should Truth be "reconciled" to falsehood?

You and I may feel this way, but we may have to show our allegiance to truth at the point of a sword before all this is over.

All of a sudden, I feel like I have woken up in an alternative world. How could we be hearing this kind of insinuation in the land of the free and the home of the brave?

We could remove the cross and then join with other heretical groups like the Mormons and the JWs in repudiating the Savior who died on that cross to purchase His church.

Any Christian "church" that would remove the cross where my Lord died for my sins is fallen away from true faith. They are liars that want to deny the sinful nature of all men that nailed Jesus to the cross.

I would flee such a "church" in a heartbeat!

Anti-Christ religon...all inclusive...throw in Buddah, Mohammed, Gaia,Krull, Pele,all of em...
one big stew pot of deities...
The pagans love it...(it denies God the father God the son and God the Holy Spirit) and affirms all the demon gods they revere
The atheists love it because since to them there is no God...all deities are irrelevant..(they also hate the Christian idea of God the Father God the Son God the Holy Spirit)
The new world order loves it..the UN globalists (it denies the deity of Jesus Christ)
Moon is right there with em...

Well, I guess the demonetization of Christians is complete. No more speaking of anything in government and now we are to remove symbols from public view. Soon, teaching anything of a religious nature to your children will be considered child abuse.

The Soviet Union did the same thing.

Here is part of a teaching by this nutcase, showing his "tolerance, and love for others (Americans)".

"In order to have a relationship with your husband you have to be married. Women who refuse to marry will be condemned to death. If you were to survive, the universe would eliminate you. This is the truth. In that sense, following Father's teaching this morning, can we find a true original woman in the American secular world? (No.) Is there even one single woman who qualifies to meet Father's criteria?
--Sun Young Moon

Just why does anyone listen to him?

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Cor 1:18 NIV)

For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. (Phil 3:18 NIV)
