Hypocrisy quotient is running high for Huffington By Joanne Jacobs
Like many Californians, Arianna Huffington is running for governor. But her campaign against tax-dodging fat cats has hit a petite paradox: Huffington paid almost no taxes on her $183,000 income in 2002. Despite her success as a writer and speaker, the socialite populist paid only $771 in federal taxes during the last two years, reports the Los Angeles Times. She paid no state income taxes.
As a writer myself, I wonder: How come she earned $183,000, in what she says was a bad year, and I didn't?
Also: If I ever do earn enough money to owe taxes, how can I roll up $410,363 in business expenses?
Huffington has incorporated her writing-and-lecturing business; her $7 million, 8,000-square-foot Brentwood home is the corporate address. The corporation pays rent on her home office. A lot of rent, I guess.
I have a home office, but the imputed rent doesn't amount to much. Maybe I could count the roof repairs as a business expense. Throw in the plumbing repairs, and that $410,363 dream looks a lot closer.

This is a good article from the San Jose Mercury News. Read it all. Not only will one find that Arianna is of questionable integrity, but Cruz M. Bustamante is not a many of "charity." On an income of $117,000, Cruz gave just $105 to "charity," which must also include his Catholic church, I presume. Yet, people in CA think this man is a tribune of "the little people." People in CA will believe anything, I am afraid.
My view on Arianna is that she is so pompous that she is unaware of her pomposity. She is like an overgrown child, really; she thinks the whole world revolves around what SHE thinks about this and that.

Arianna is a joke. And she should be.

There is something about Arianna that makes me want to leave my wife for another man.
There is just an overwhelming aura of bad karma coming from that squared jaw screech owl.

It is said that she spends hours each week trying to get on radio and TV programs to promote her views. But Sean Hannity said that she had been avoiding him; then moments later, she popped up on Sean's radio program.
