Me too. I was the only girl in a computer class in high school in 1979. I went into computer science in college, and I married another computer geek.
Now, my kids all love computers, science fiction, etc.
We're a geek-family.

I am with you there....I'm married, and nothing's worse than getting stuck with the wife/wives. (I hate it when one of our guy friends gets married. The Mr. and I have pretty much the same friends----I adopted his, and he adopted mine. Except for his best friend---I didn't pick him---he's my brother.) I remember once having a conversation about shades of lipstick with one of my buddies' then-current wife. I felt proud of myself for keeping up with the conversation---as if I was trying to converse with, say, a native Papua/New Guinean.
I find most women terribly boring....it seems as if there's a giant contest for women to be as average as possible. I just don't get it.
