In his press conference today, Judge Moore was flanked by Alabamans from all races and backgrounds.
Someone has to stand up and say NO to the one-worlders, NO to the commissars of political correctness, and NO to the rootless cosmopolitans who control our culture by preaching hatred for Bible-believing Christians!
How long do you think it will be, before Christmas is outlawed as a public holiday, because it "promotes religion".

Well said. I hear your outrage. The good news is those watching tv over the last few days are outraged too. I expect a good ending.

While I admire Judge Moore for standing up to his beliefs, he is unfortunately wrong on this issue. It is true that our country was founded on religious principles but it is totally untrue that the 10 Commandments form the basis of our law. In fact, that claim is quite preposterous.
As far as I can see, only 2 of the 10 Commandments have ever been against the law that being the sixth and the eighth. Even with this, the laws against murder (6) and stealing (8) were not put into place because of anything having to do with the Judaic-Christian beliefs. Other societies have these same laws without any suggestion of God.
To make matters worse, the very first commandment says: I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.. The first amendment to the Constitution is the antithesis of the first Commandment. Our Constitution specifically says that ALL Gods may be worshiped not just the God of the bible.

What are the anti-God, selfish ignoramuses so scared of?

I saw Judge Moore speaking on TV today, and he reminded me of Ronald Reagan at the Berlin Wall in 1987.I saw him too. He looked like a slick politician, getting ready to run for governor in 2005.

Guys?
Sinky. Let's talk.
Once upon a time he would be there, striking like lightning, post one, or two, impugning Moore, scorning his supporters, there was wit there was invective, there was commitment.
Now, what have we got?
Post nine. Limp. Lame. Forced. For a Moore supporter like myself, it's akin to being flogged with a wet lettuce leaf.
C'mon lads. Bite the bullet. Don't let the Moore Troll Crew drift rudderless onto the rocks. Who's gonna take the helm?

Sorry, Byron, I've always felt that, as a matter of law, Judge Moore had no case. None.
The monument is impressive and inspiring. I like it. But the case law was clear WAY before Moore put it in the rotunda.
Judge Moore has invigorated a large number of people in support of him. I'm positive that was his goal.
But he's not going to change the law anytime soon, and I despise the way he defied the law. A judge should never do that.
I'm not going to get angry about it one way or the other. I think it's not a bad thing that some people do. America needs to be reminded that religious values mean something.
But legally, the monument must be removed.

you did see it's over with right b?
- the supreme court
- other federal courts in our judicial system
- the eleventh circuit
- every one of his home state supremes
- they are all now done with this issue.
- the monument to moore's ego is gone.
moore will very likely avoid being impeached.
but not by much.
He will now fail in his attempt to be governor or president.
To: thtr
thtr, good points.
I also admire the Judge for what he is doing. I was going to post a reply to #5 but decided to read on, first.
Glad I did.
I did not know that he said the 10 Commandments form the basis of our law. Not exactly, Judge M.
Thanks for your yank back to reality.
