"Isn't Foster backing Jindal?"
He is, and apparently is going to use his $$ left over from his campaigns to bankroll him. I don't know what this "Foster is backing Ieyoub" business is.

Holloway, however, may sweep rural whites and get enough for a runoff spot, at which point he would lose to Landrieu, 60-40. That's my guess. LA would never vote for Holloway statewide.

In any event, we need to stop Landrieu. Holloway is an embarrassment and is fast becoming the Harold Stassen of Louisiana, but Stassen was harmless in his contests after his initial tenure as MN Governor, but Holloway's nasty conduct last year cost us a safe House seat.

Not sure what the Ieyoub backing thing is either......
Governor Mike Foster, a Republican who cannot run for a third term and supports Jindal for the office, last week got the green light from Louisiana's Ethics Board to spend his campaign war chest on Jindal's campaign. To Foster's query on whether he could contribute his campaign booty to a candidate he favours, the Ethics Board said he could do so but without the candidate's participation in the planning.
It is generally known that Foster will spend some of his $250,000 funds on advertising and fundraising for Jindal's campaign.

Jindal has no chance of making a two man runoff. Foster knows this. His support for Jindal is show until the "real election", when he will support Ieyoub. Mike Foster is no more a Republican than I am a Martian. He registered as a Republican in 1995 because it gave him an advantage. He governed as a Democrat.
