The RINO part is the GOP of Big Gummint--cf. Scwarzenegger's "save the chilluns" Tom Thompson's addition of 4,000 employees to the Wisconsin State payroll in only 16 years, and (Lord, save us) GWBush's thrusting an extra zillion or so into Federal Education programs.

But RINOs are not Republicans--they only call themselves that to get elected. RINOS are Statists. They take care of their friends, and themselves, mostly w/Gummint jobs and largesse.

AMEN! All the RINO talk of "returning power to the states" doesn't mean smaller government on the federal, state or local levels. What it means is taking more and more tax dollars from the entire country and then cutting big checks to the states to spend. Federal gets bigger every year. State gets bigger every year because there is more tax dollars coming in from DC, and local gets bigger because from the extra money handed down from the state. And of course, it all usually done "for the children." As long as soccer moms are the swing voters, none of this will change.
