Some animal sacrifice practices would violate animal cruelty laws in many areas.

"Some animal sacrifice practices would violate animal cruelty laws in many areas."

Some might. However, there have been a number of court cases involving the Santeria religion, where sacrificing animals is part of their practice. They have won each case.

As part of their worship, they may kill chickens or goats or whatever they wish.

In my little community, the sheriff was called to the house of a family of Filipinos who killed and slaughtered a goat for a barbeque that day. The Sheriff came (in fact, six cars came), but they couldn't arrest anyone. You see, it is not against the law to kill an animal for food. There was a lawyer in that family, and he sent the Sheriff's deputies away and they had their barbeque.

Much less is it against the law to kill an animal as a part of a worship service. Judaism used to conduct animal sacrifices as part of their worship. Do you condemn that practise?

Animals may be sacrificed in worship services. It's the law.
