Congresswoman to speak at X-rated confab International bisexual conference preceded by 'youth' institute

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- © 2003 WorldNetDaily.com A U.S. congresswoman will be a plenary speaker this weekend at an international bisexuality conference preceded by a "Bi Youth" institute for attendees age 24 and younger.

Rep. Susan Davis

Rep. Susan Davis, D-Calif., will address the third annual North American Conference on Bisexuality at the Radisson Hotel in San Diego on Saturday.

The event, Aug. 21-24, will feature "pre-conference institutes, workshops/panels on bisexuality, leading sex researchers, entertainment and the chance to meet other people interested in bisexuality from the United States, Canada, and Mexico," according to the website.

Cindy Moles, area director for Concerned Women for America of San Diego and Imperial Counties, wonders what place a federal lawmaker has at such an event.

"In an age in which adulterous bisexual men are having homosexual affairs and infecting their innocent wives with HIV, why is a U.S. congresswoman lending the authority of her office to an event that celebrates this perversion," she said in a statement.

"It is deplorable that Ms. Davis would offer to speak at a conference promoting sexual perversion, particularly one that promotes behavior that harms children and victimizes women," Moles said.

Davis's district encompasses the Southern California seacoast from the wealthy northern suburb of La Jolla to the Mexican border, plus several inland San Diego suburbs. Calls to her office requesting a statement were not returned by press time.

Other plenary speakers include executive director Joan Garry of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, or GLAAD, which helped orchestrate the cancellation of Dr. Laura Schlessinger's television program, and Indiana University professor Martin S. Weinberg.

Weinberg's bio on the conference website states he for "13 years had a joint appointment as Senior Research Sociologist at the Kinsey Institute," established by famed sex researcher Alfred Kinsey.

The ""Bi Youth" seminar, which begins today, is open to "attendees who are 24 years of age or younger," raising the possibility of adult bisexuals mixing with minors.

A description of the youth seminar states it "will provide participants a day and a half of inspiration, experiential activities, dialogue, honesty, networking, and fun. We will be focusing on five areas of life: School and Campus Life, Family and Relationships, Health, Religion and Spirituality, and Love and Sex."

The youth conference will be convened by one of the nation's leading public school pro-homosexual indoctrination groups, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, or GLSEN, and a group under investigation by the Bush Administration, Advocates for Youth.

On Saturday, the Washington Post reported the Centers for Disease Control planned to conduct the third audit within a year of Advocates for Youth to look into charges of "possible misuse of grant funds for lobbying efforts."

The CDC said the review was in response to complaints from Rep. Joseph R. Pitts, R-Pa., an advocate for abstinence-only programs.

Pitts and 23 other congressmen have questioned whether Advocates for Youth and other sex education organizations are improperly using federal funds to lobby in Congress.

The congressmen are particularly concerned about a website that campaigns against increased funds for abstinence-only programs," reported the Post.

The San Diego conference will include a workshop titled "Exploring Erotic Touch," in which organizers "will use touch, massage, imagination and self-pleasuring to awaken the connection between erotic energy and spirituality and between the feminine and masculine in ourselves."

The website description further states, "Men are asked not [to] ejaculate for 48 hours before the workshop. All participants are asked to refrain from the use of alcohol or recreational drugs 72 hours before and during the workshop."

Hotel provides 'equal access'

When asked for a comment regarding this weekend's event, Mark Luttik, Radisson San Diego Hotel's general manager, read from a prepared statement.

"It is our company's policy not to make any comments in support of or against any person or group who stays at our hotel," he said. "In fact, hotels by law are required to grant equal access to their facilities to any group that meets for a lawful purpose, regardless of its beliefs, creed, race or national origin. As always, it is our responsibility and goal to provide the best facilities and services San Diego has to offer."

When asked if the hotel planned to put down tarps to catch bodily fluids during the "Erotic Touch" workshop and how hotel workers and other guests would be protected from disease, Luttik said, "That description on the conference website was brought to my attention by Ms. Moles of CWA. I subsequently researched the matter, and the hotel spoke to the group contact, and we have been assured that there will be no physical masturbation in the meeting rooms and that no bodily fluids will be exposed."

Luttik admitted, however, the names of the workshops could be a problem at a hotel with families.

"Originally we were advised of the names of the workshops for the purpose of posting them on meeting room doors within the hotel," he said. "We as a hotel have an obligation to make sure that none of our other guests are offended. The workshops that had names that could potentially be offensive to people who are not associated with the conference will be changed to more neutral terminology for the purpose of our posting them on the meeting rooms, but I can't control what they put on the website."

Among the workshops to be offered this weekend, as described on the conference website, are:

Bi Parents and their Children

Polyamory and Bisexuality: Challenging Monogamy and Monosexuality

Bisexual Adult Entertainment

My Big Bi Triad Wedding

Our Bodies Our Selves: Loving Our Peri and Post Menopausal Pussies

Masturbation 101

Hosting Sensual/Sexual Parties

Campus Bi Organizing

Teaching Bisexuality

XXX Sex Workshop

Bi Men on the Net Other conference activities include a bisexual art exhibit and entertainment by Rob Yaeger, who describes himself as "the Earth's only bisexual, genderqueer, trans-affectional, sex radical, frequently kinky, Catholic-raised agnostic-atheist, safer sex educating, sensitive but not too sensitive, biologically-born male stand-up commedian [sic]."

Among the event's host committee members are Richard Woulfe, a board member of the San Diego Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Center; Cari Wilson, a marketing and sales manager for AVIS Rent A Car of San Diego; Shaun Travers, director of the University of California San Diego Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center; and Fritz Klein, M.D., president of the board of the Bisexual Foundation and editor of the Journal of Bisexuality.

"It is appalling that a medical doctor would co-host a conference dedicated to furthering social chaos and spreading sexual disease," commented CWA director Moles.

Major conference sponsors include Avis Rent A Car, the Bisexual Foundation and the California Endowment. Others are American Airlines, GLAAD, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, the Bisexual Organizing Project, BiNet USA, the Intersex Society of North America and LLEGO, the national Latina/o lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender organization. Southwest Airlines also is offering a 10 percent fare discount to conference attendees.

The North American Bisexual Conference is not the San Diego Radisson's first accommodation of sexually perverse groups. The hotel used to host a monthly sadomasochism social and in October will host the Fourth Annual Men's Conference sponsored by the Bisexual Foundation, featuring another Kinsey Institute graduate, Dr. Brian Dodge.

A disclaimer on the website for the upcoming Men's Conference says, "This event is termed and deemed to be a 'Men's Awareness Weekend' – any references to bi or bi-curious will be avoided publicly. Our host hotel is aware of the nature of the event and attendees – but there will be no public reference to bisexuality, including any billing and any e-mail contact with you. This is to safeguard your own privacy and to give attendees greater peace of mind and promote a discreet conference."

Rep. Susan Davis, D-Calif., will address the third annual North American Conference on Bisexuality at the Radisson Hotel in San Diego on Saturday.

Rep. Davis, a true politician, says she can go either way on the issue.

Don't pray for this country, Don't condemn the person delivering the message, pray for those who elect these perverted swines. Also, pray for those that fall into the 85% who claim to be christians in America They are lip service christians and if the 85 % figure is accurate they are must be supporting this type of behavior. The Lord claims there will be very few in heaven. We need not wonder why.

At least they are not displaying the Ten Commandments.

Also there probably be no reading of the Bible.

That should please many on this forum.

And the teaching of masturbation and probably the proper way to give a blow job will please many more.

I understand (though I don't agree) that the hotel, as a public accommodation, must provide rooms to everyone.

But why are they required to do the same for conference rooms? Especially when doing so can be shown to negatively affect their business with other customers?

Rest assured that if some Congress member were to attend, say, a seminar on Holocaust denial or white supremacy, the Democrats would call for that member's censure or even removal from office. Will the GOP do likewise for this women who has attended a conference on and for sexual perversion? Not likely!
