(I retired from Ford after 32 years a while back.) In order to cover an absence, an hourly employee has to have a doctor's note unless its bereavement, military leave, or a prearranged absence. The doctors cooperate and charge the insurance carrier. Company paid abortions will result in more costs and more absences. The UAW has no intention of controlling health care costs in spite of any pious claims that the a$$hole president gettlefinger makes.

I sat in a cafe with a group of people as they told stories of hiding screws and bolts inside door panels or other areas to cause a Cadillacs or Chevy to have a rattle nobody could find. Everyone thought it was so clever. I wonder how many think it is clever that they have lost market share?
