I'm old enough to remember JFK's assassination in Dallas ... it was a watershed event for "baby boomers" not unlike Pearl Harbor for our parents. LBJ was not involved in any way shape or form in Kennedy's assassination ... this is pure bunk!

But you have to remember where we are...Free Republic, where conspiracy theorists have found tons of company. The 'Flight 800' threads really do get rather amusing if one's in the mood for an evening of fantasy.

I had just turned 21 in November 1963, and I remember reading an article in one of the Pittsburgh papers on Nov 22 or 23 that stated that JFK had decided to dump LBJ as VP for the '64 election. It was just a tiny item on the inside pages.
I've always believed LBJ was behind the murder of JFK.

The ONLY way you would Know that LBJ wasn't behind the assassination is if YOU did it.....otherwise it's entirely plausible. LBJ STUFFED the ballot box no. (?) to ILLEGALY get elcted to the Senate. He was SCUM.

I was 23 when JFK was assinated & I rememer it well. I didn't think much about LBJ having done it at the time, but later I read Paths to Power & Means of Ascent. Those are 2 of the three books by Robert Caro on LBJ. After reading those biographies I became convinced that Johnson killed Kennedy. When you find out what LBJ was like, how ruthless & driven he was, you see that killing Kennedy was the only way he would ever become president. Lyndon Johnson HAD to become president & assination was his only route.
