I agree, but there may have been some subtle psychology at work. It looked like a big Mood Ring. And blue is the "happy," well-adjusted color. Big-money libs and crystal worshippers see that (the only kind that can afford to be that way) and they may start to warm to the guy.

But his won't cut spending nor raise taxes stand sounds like he plans to host a big Hollywood telethon to bail out the state. Kinda what the Democratic Party did in 1973 or so.
