Thanks, a.c. The sentiment was 'lets move on' after the Electoral College elected Pres. Bush on Dec. 18, 2000. With a Clintonized DNC-EU-UN - you know what to expect. Dirty, rotten, scoundrel tactics.

I think we would find that Gore didn't win as many votes as people thinkI know you're right.
We need more Republicans working in post offices and press rooms around the country. Perhaps the GOP could chip in for 'hazard' pay during election years.

I believe the state of PA was stolen for Gore. Of course it was. PA mostly voted for Bush. Gore won because of the number of votes in Pittsburgh and Philly. We know that in some Black precincts in Philly 125% of the registered voters voted, primarily for gore. I'd guess that is just the tip of the iceberg.

I was down in FLA last month, and a family friend told me the reason for the "hanging chads" was that the dems would put MULTIPLE CARDS into the machines. That's why they were so interested in this particular abnormality. Makes sense to me (but I wasn't there).
I could barely read your (really good) article - could you make the type size bigger next time? Just a suggestion.

Bookmarked ... thanks for posting this. OK Florida FReepers, what are we doing to get ready for the 2004 election? Is someone working out the poll watcher strategy, getting all the ducks in a row?

The story of how the DUI incident from 24 years earlier suddenly surfaced 5 days before the election was never fully investigated. There was a theory advanced on FR, I forget by whom, at the time of the 2000 election that this dirt came in some way from Hillary's FBI files. If the story could have been found by some ordinary snooping around the courthouse where the incident happened (presumably that was York Co., Maine), someone would have used it against George W. Bush in the 1994 or 1998 Texas gubernatorial races. Rather, it would have been something the FBI had learned about in the course of one of their investigations of George H. W. Bush when he ran for V.P. or President.

I'm mostly working on the war effort, getting out news from Iraq 'til we reach a tipping point on the int'l wankers - but I'm always available for an emergency slap down of a mean DNC PR campaign.

You are a fine Chief, summer - reluctant though you may be. You'd know this if you traded places with us 'regular people'. (^;

If the story had come out two weeks or a month in advance, Pres. Bush could probably have used it to his advantage. He's driving slowly, accepts full responsibility, his parents hold him accountable, he cleans up his act, dotes on his wife, goes to Bible class - pretty admirable to most Americans, imho. Only a last-minute smear would work to bring down his numbers. Of course he would have won the popular vote.

outstanding research, Cowgirl.
Can you post your references/source material or where I can find the material for the above?

Thanks, harpo. Rat-ammo. This lil "Gore-won" game should have been shot full of holes and buried long ago. Behold the power of the left-wing press to keep a lie alive.

I'm with you on the state of PA being stolen. Makes me sick. There were a lot of irregularities evident even in our little precinct.
To: mombonn; Rabid Republican
LOL....thanks, mombonn. Very nice to hear from you! :)
PS Rabid Republican, feel free to freepmail mombonn and Ragtime Cowgirl here about the grassroots work I did for Gov Bush with FR people here on FR prior to Nov 2002. You'll see what I am trying to tell you... :)
