You did not forget to take to your meeting with Bush the list of 440 Arab murderers and terrorists whom you have subsequently freed in a gesture to the US. You had no difficulty making the case to release these terrorists, but had "no time" and "no place" on your agenda to plead the case for me, a Jew who warned Israel about the weapons of mass destruction prepared by neighboring Arab states for use against her.
Alot of people here forgot it was the info Pollard gave to the IDF that helped them destroy the Iraqi Nuclear Reactor. Israel is forced to release murderers but an American- Israeli hero is locked up. You might not agree with his methods but his actions saved lives. While Cap Weinberger was sitting around convinced the Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia are our allies. Weinberger is bought out buy the oil rich arabs.
Israel always provides us with valuable info, Israeli Mossad agents were following Mohammed Atta around a year before 9/11 and warned our FBI. What was there reward being deported.
This government has too many people being bought out by by oil rich arabs.

(1) You're accusing Casper Weinberger of being a paid agent of a foreign power - that's a strong accusation which you need to back up.
(2) Jonathan Pollard was a paid (so he hoped) agent of a foreign power. He's getting what he deserves.

If you feel Pollard is a hero than Im sure you must agree that he would be happy to spend a life in prison in the service of his country Israel. American Patriots make comments like Im sorry I have but one life to give for my country. They dont send their wife out to PLEAD for their release.

Why is he writing to Sharon? His ass belongs to the U.S. now, whether he likes it or not. Heck, if it's his birthday, change the paper in the rat's cage....

NEVER The day Pollard gets out is the day Israel starts overtly propositioning every Jew in the US Government to become a spy.
He is the worst kind of slimeball traitor.

Say, how did Pollard get a pencil to write a letter? Somebody at Marion slipped-up.

Ah, is it time for a "free Pollard" thread again, then?
You might not agree with his methods but his actions saved lives.
The good old "ends justify the means" argument - surely a classic. Amazing how easy it is to rationalize doing anything you like with that one, isn't it?

Pollard provided infomration that allowed americans to be killed.
This is a game, a serious one- but a game. A country must treat every spy caught as harshly as it can, or it will be overrun by spies. A country must also do absolutely everything it can for its spies caught in other countries, or else it will not have enough people willing to go spy for it.
The U.S. and Isreal are both playing their parts, except Pollard could have been shot

Pollard deserved assasination, not freedom. He's lower than pondscum, and deserves to fry!

I'd like to know what A+Bert has to say on this topic. Seems to me I recall a pretty strong stance. :-)
