Where did you have to go, south of I-10 off Central? Kinda rough in that area, if I remember correctly.

Thats a nice area of town too. I noticed that it is getting pretty nasty in the vicinity of Grand Avenue and Thomas Rd as well.

I believe what she knew was more about the condition of the lines.

Arizonians gather at the broken pipeline trying to salvage gasoline and find it's filled with only water.
Julio Gomez quoted as saying, "The whole pipe is full of holes and they won't get it fixed till 2007. Phoenix better learn how to walk."

Hard to blow up something that is mostly underground!

The pipeline sprung a leak around the end of July, while the gov was out of touch rafting the Grand Canyon, she could have allowed out of state fuel in to make up for the shortage (boutique fuel again)..but nooo.

Oh,Ok,I wasn't clear on that.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head ..This could have been a minor glitch with proper planning. She definatley dropped the ball. I have heard from many small business people who have been virtually shut down since Monday morning. Kinder Morgan certainly has their share of the blame. And don't forget the envirowackjobs who have ranted about pipeline construction. But, Janet was tubing down the Colorado while this was beginning to unfold.

Here's what is happening. I will use my location as an example. We have had virtually no gas for the past four days and it just dribbles into the north valley. As a result, people are driving and driving until they find a station thus creating long lines.
And because this began over the weekend, people were in line from Sunday to get gas.
