My, you should have seen President Roh (S Korea) on TV yesterday apologizing for some of his fellow citizens burning DPRK flags and defacing photos/posters of Kim Jong il.
It is the only thing that caused the DPRK to reconsider and send their atheletes and beautiful female spies en mass to Taegu today for the Universiade college athletic games. Roh's speech was pathetic. Every bit as caving and sellout as Kim Dae Jung before him.

Sounds like he would have made Neville Chamberlain proud.
Makes me sick to see the Free World leaders kissing these dictators a$$es!

A $75 dollar fine for burning the flag of a nation who's avowed goal for the last fifty years has been to conquer and enslave your country? Now THAT'S a law to be proud of.
Seriously, I can't wait until North Korea is liberated, and these spineless, cowardly liberal politicians have to face their newly freed countrymen. How do you look those people in the eye and tell them that you knew all along how evil the DPRK was, but you were so afraid for your own skin that you prevented the people from speaking out about it?

Just saw this at Japan Today. Ishihara's a jerk but sometimes he gets it right.
Tokyo gov't chases Chongryon over taxes
Thursday, August 21, 2003 at 06:37 JST
TOKYO The Tokyo metropolitan government on Wednesday sent a follow-up notice to a group of pro-Pyongyang Korean residents of Japan demanding it pay real estate tax for its head office in the capital, metropolitan officials said.
The metropolitan government intends to seize the land and building of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) in Chiyoda Ward if the group does not pay the tax within 10 days of the follow-up notice, the officials said. (Kyodo News)

WOW. GN, that is great news. What balls of steel. [Tokyo] Governor Ishihara is right on this issue. I don't see any other politician in Northeast Asia in power really taking the Northies on in this way. This goes to the heart of their money laundering operation in Tokyo, Japan that they cannot afford to lose! Tax 'em to death. Otherwise, seize their properties (when they go over to seize they better take 500 riot police in full body armor, IMHO,) as well as intelligence specialists from the Prime Minister's office to go over all their incriminating ELINT and HUMINT stuff they will invariably find over a Chongryon in Chiyoda Ward. There is a particularly NASTY DPRK espionage nest also in Hakusan on Hakusan Dori just north of Korakuen, in Tokyo, I'd also like to see them take out.)
