Hmmmm, an evolutionary pinnacle that doesn't reproduce. That's going to take some figgering out.

That all depends on what one defines as the goal of evolution, doesn't it? Think on that a bit -- you'll figger it out pretty quickly.

Evolution's only goal, if you can call it thay, is successful reproduction of fertile offspring. Unless someone's found a way for humans to asexually reproduce fertile offspring, then the "goal" hasn't been achieved in this case.
