I appreciate Mr. Kevin Martin's attempt to advise the Republicans but this is just more victim whining. For there to be communication there must be a listener as well as a talker.
If blacks can't look around and see that Republican policies have been better for blacks than the insulting programs Democrats have offered them then they shouldn't be complaining that Republicans didn't "communicate" well enough. If they can't see Condaleeza Rice, Colin Powell, and the myriad of other blacks in important positions in this administration and compare that to the Dems, then there is little to be done for them.
Democrats are all about personal power and that includes the blacks who pander to them. Each is in it for money and power, the befuddled constituencies be damned.
Mr. Martin seems to want the Republicans to suck up to them even more than the Dems. If they are not smart enough to evaluate what is in their own best interest in the absence of pandering then they are destined for mediocrity for a long time yet.

No that is not it, I want Republicans to really fight for the black vote and not the sad jokes that I have seen down at party headquarters.
