I have thought the same thing. With Bustamante, the Dems are saying "give us just one more chance". If he wins, and the state doesn't turn around, they could be in the wilderness (as far as the gov's office goes) for years.

I disagree. Not with the cultivated Nanny-state mentality of the electorate out there.

Say an 8-yr old's mommy is wrong about something, does the 8-yr old sack his mommy? No. He cries and pouts. He does nothing to make the situation better (he can't) and just waits for Mommy [Dems] to fix it.

Sadly, that's the metaphor that makes sense to me for Kalifornia.
