[history]
Yesterday's bombing at the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad is a bloody reminder that the epicenter of the global war on terror is now Iraq. This isn't new, but it's taken on new meaning as increasingly desperate terrorists realize just what's at stake.

NO NO NO Abdul, they wanted a full house PIZZA delivery not a delivery to their house blown to Pieces??
Anyways as I said this will now force those a@@Holes at the UN to fall in line with Bush and they will now be clamoring all over themselves to send troops to "Protect" Iraq.
I only hope they dont send troops from Muslim countries because thats like setting the fox to guard the henhouse.

This article is pure empty spin and nonsense. The Koran commands Mohammedan believers to fight the infidels if they are found in Anarctica. The reason we are in turmoil in Iraq is not because of Saddam Hussein, but because we are there.

The Jihadists must be torn between what country to fight in first: Iraq or Afghanistan? Of course they are magnets for Islamic fighters.
Hundreds of thousands volunteered to fight in Afghanistan against the Soviet "infidels". There used to be a bumper sticker in the US in the 80's that said "I support the Afghan Holy War". The passage to the Pakistanni- Afghan border for "Holy Warriors" was paid for by the governments of Eygpt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Yemen, and Pakistan to fight the Russians. There were even extensive charities to aid those who lost limbs or were wounded in that war.
Though we are not the brutal Red Army- we will face the same guerillas and determined fighters.

The lair of radical Islam was never Iraq. But it is now as every Jihadist from every corner of Islam will volunteer to fight in Iraq.

It's a world wide religious war that is occurring everywhere, and has been for nearly 1,500 years. Part of it took place at the siege of Vienna in 1683 before Saddam Hussein's great great grandfather was born.. Part of it took place on 9/11. Part of it is taking place in the Philippines and India. Part of it is taking place in Indonesia. Part of it is taking place in Africa. Right now, our people are concentrated in Iraq to provide easy targets. We are up against a billion highly aggressive suicidal psychotics.

"We are up against a billion highly aggressive suicidal psychotics."
So what do you propose? First off, those willing to fight and die seem to be few, compared to those willing only to rant.
Perhaps Iraq is "the time and place of our chosing" as foretold by Bush 20 Sep. 2001.
In less than two years, the islamists have lost Afghanistan and Iraq, for their playgrounds and training. Further, their countries of origin, support and refuge have much LESS uncertainty of our resolve.
If not now, when? If not Iraq, where?
To: Rudder
Yeah- that was Bush's plan? What a mope you are.

The only thing they've lost in Afghanistan is Kabul. The Taliban are still reaking havoc. It's just turned from clandestine training to OJT. The results are the same. Blackbird.

The reason we are in turmoil in Iraq is not because of Saddam Hussein, but because we are there. And you think we should not be? That the world would be a safer place if we weren't?
This article is right on. Remove Iraq from the terror equation and the crazies from that region are well on their way to losing their stupid terror war permanently.

You don't get it yet...
we were attacked on 9/11 and have been at war since. like it or not, we are the world's first hyperpower, and the "true believers" of other stripes, whether communists or islamic fundamentalist are ALL reactionaries against the new global world that is forming, and we are the engine of that formation hence are and will remain the prime target.
if you go up to these reactionaries and try to make friendly with them, they will just smile...and slit your throat.

Yeah- that was Bush's plan? What a mope you are.You got your stuck where the sun isn't shining if you think Bush et al didn't foresee that launching an invasion in Iraq would not piss off the islamists. Bush took the battle to them and that was The Plan.

Surely an intellect like yours can come up with more than mere ad hominem replies. And you must have even developed your very own ideas about Bush's strategy beyond the simplistic reactionism that you show here. Aside from these observations, the chip-on-your-shoulder conveyance eliminates you from further interaction.

We in comtrol of Afghanistan and Iraq are we? Afghanistan is now the leading producer of opium again and selling it to Russia, Europe and us. Great war! We make little treaties with these drug lords in Afghanistan. We will do the same in Iraq and call it "democracy".

"We make little treaties with these drug lords in Afghanistan. We will do the same in Iraq and call it "democracy"."
Prove those claims, then give your plan for fighting Islamist terror.
To: Rudder
I, and everyone else, was told that The Plan was to invade Iraq and disarm Sadaam Hussein. This was necessary because he had WMDs. That made him too dangerous. He had 65 million tons of anthrax and could launch missiles at Britain within 45 minutes and ...
Well, anyway, the WMDs are not there, and we can't find Sadaam. Never mind. The Plan is to engage in nation building in Iraq.
Meanwhile, the real centres of jihadist terror, such as Kurdistan (notice where that Islamia group is filtering in from?), Pakistan, and certain other countries the US govt kisses up to, are our allies. Supposed allies.
