And the Dems thought those flight suit pics were bad....
BTW my wife loved seeing him in that flight suit.

I've tried, but I can think of absolutely nothing to say...words escape me.

Personaly, even if they didn't have stick GW's face on there I wouldn't like that picture. It's way too effeminate IMHO.
There is a mural at Hampton Court in the UK of Christ being whipped just before his crucifiction. Christ is shown where as a strong manly figure, not some thin dainty weakling.

Agreed, the "wimpy Christ" figures always bother me. Before he took up his ministry (30 Years) he was a carpenter (no power tools, everything done with massive pieces of wood
) He would have been a very buffed guy, which makes it all the more amazing how meekly he acted.

While some of you seem amused, it wouldn't hurt to email a few choice comments to editor Jim Nelson. Here is his email address:
gqmag@aol.com Sample follows.
_______________________________
Dear Editor Jim Nelson. Here is a heads up on the photo of Jesus Christ morphed into George Bush that I understand is about to appear in your publication.
You might take a moment to imagine how a devoted Christian might take offence at this photo. I know that my wife and I felt insulted when we was it posted on the Internet. While I am sure that you didn't mean to slam millions Christians, this photo could easily be understood as an anti-Christian slur.
If you were making fun of Jews like this, it would be anti-Semitic. You dont use the N word do you? Then why defame Jesus?
I don't think that you would be happy if a national fashion magazine were to make yuki-yuks over a doctored photo of your god (sodomy, cocaine, whatever) now would you? (On the other hand, you probably lack religious sensitivity altogether.)
I am asking that you pull this sacrilegious image from the issue or at least apologize to those of us who are bothered whenever Jesus is mocked.
