Take a deep breath and concentrate.

When the low-semi skilled jobs in a blue collar community go away the moral fiber of the community unravels. It happenned 30 years ago in the industrial cities of the Northeast. It is happenning now in rural Vermont. It happenned twenty years ago in the British industrial Midlands. It is happenning now in the desolate factory towns of Saxony and Prussia. When the jobs go you get gangbangers and skinheads because you now have lots of idle, angry, vicious young men with no future in a nation that has no use for them and society can no longer control them. They drift into drugs and crime.

"Role models" are law abiding citizens who play by the rules and are rewarded. That doesn't happen in deindustrialization. And what "cultural incentives" are there to play by the rules if it is not rewarded ? When the jobs go it is negative, not positive behavior that is admired and rewarded.

This is absolute nonsense. The history of or country is basically one where poverty was the norm. People were poor but decent. Get a clue.
