NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Could someone close to you have a lot of money secretly socked away?
When Joseph Leek died recently he left nearly $1.8 million to an organization that provides guide dogs for the blind. Nothing unusual there. Except that nobody, not even his own family, had any idea that he had that kind of money.

Hey, Sweetums, I'm looking at his crotch right now, and it's a mighty fine crotch.Perhaps. I am not one to judge such things. But he asked to be mocked. I complied. Surely you cannot fault me for following instructions!

I think he is probably a genius or close --- can you imagine the perverse pleasure you'd have knowing everyone thinks of you as destitute but you know you're richer than they are? You owe nobody anything but those looking down on you are in debt to their ears? It shows how relative wealth can be ---- the guy with real net worth might look poor, but the guy with the many nice things might be close to bankrupcy he's so far in the red.

To argue that dressing in rags and eating scraps to survive while hoarding Millions of Dollars is NOT a sign of Mental Illness amazes me.
I suggest thay live like that willing and not have themselves evaluated by a Mental Health Professional by their friends and family.
Truly, it is without question that a certain number of them are indeed OCD if nothing else.
Cheers,

To have this sort of money, and never feel free to enjoy ANY of it, is a mental illness. Most people feel free to enjoy all of their money, and consequently end up having none. Now, if sanity is defined as, "The ability to keep your head above water," then the misers have it and the free-spenders don't.
