An e-mail from Jenni. She makes me so proud!
didn't tell you about Sunday. I haven't been sleeping really well so I got up early and went to mass at 10 by myself. It was a good service and I thought I'd go down to Lexington Rd so that I might stop at the library and pay any late fees. As I sat at the light a few women were posted on the corner with signs saying "Bush Lies.. Soldiers die" I kept thinking about it and it bothered me so much I pulled over a bit and asked them if they had anyone over there.I also asked if they realized those of us who do do not appreciate their efforts. When she suggested that I join them because the conditions are just deplorable I asked for an example. She mentioned her friend who returned for a funeral or illness in the family and he couldn't even get razors. I asked for his address. I told her it could take some time but he would get them. I also explained shaving cream in a can is a propellent and cannot be sent but that she could send the other kind. She said he had to buy some while he was here to take back with him. When she went on to say that more than half of the Iraqi population was under the age of 11 and that we just went ahead and bombed them I really got so pissed off. Unfortunately I was beginning to build up a blockage of the intersection and could not contain my composure any longer. What do they think war is? I was pretty upset and just sat out in the car and cried. Interestingly enough I had picked up a pamphlet at church about the good crying does for the body and soul. So I went ahead and let it go for a little in the car in the drive way.
I know we have it much better than alot of people. think about the guys in Korea or Viet Nam. We are very fortunate.
I love you very much and miss you even more than yesterday. And will more tomorrow.

Thank you, Star, so glad you joined us today, and we thank your brother in Iraq for what he is doing as well. We'll add him to our prayer list (as you requested in a later post).
Aqua, Dansy, Dutchess, Free, Lori - please add StarCMC's brother to your Military Prayer list. (I'll write a reminder in FR mail, too) :)
