McClintock to Speak on Illegal Immigration

California Gubernatorial candidate State Senator Tom McClintock will be stepping into the lion's den on a talk radio show on Sunday night, August 17, 2003. He will be a guest on the Terry Anderson Show. Terry's weekly one hour show focuses entirely on the illegal immigration issue. The show is on from 8-9 p.m. (PT). It is on Los Angeles radio station KRLA 870-AM. It is simulcast over the internet. Go here for the links:

Thankfully someone is speaking out on this issue.. as it stands now, why does the US even have a legal immigration policy? If illegals are basically ignored, what is the point? And it also IMO makes Homeland Security basically a joke.

I really like McClintock, but he's not going to win many votes by getting mixed up with this bunch.
Let's hope he confines his comments to California's fiscal problems.

...as it stands now, why does the US even have a legal immigration policy? IMHO, the winning strategy on this issue would be to present illegal immigration as being unfair to people who have gone or are going through the legal immigration process, roughly akin to people who line-jump in an amusement park because they think the lines are too long.
