I assume you're a Florida resident. I'd love to see a comparison of the taxes paid by Florida resident and California residents.

The California income tax rate goes up to 9.3%

The California sales tax ranges from 7.75% to 8.75%

The California car registration tax is 2% of the value of the car - I will be paying over $600 for my new Chevy Avalanche in October.

The California property tax is 1% of the assessed value of the property, but cannot increase by more than 2%/year (Prop 13).

Can you provide comparable info on Florida?

Thanks!!

Well I am in central Florida on the space coast. We have no state income tax and my county sales tax is 6%. My property tax is kinda high because I have two shops on my property along with my house. ($1800 a year) and my truck tag cost me $37 this year. Hope this helps.
